I felt the burden letting me go
As I reached the shore of my homeland
Familiar coastline, the jagged rocks
Untouched by time, but stained by sword
Dark oceans of sorrow
I felt the warmth fade away
My heart was lost to the sea
And my love was lost to war
I was here to witness the massacre
Whole village was burning, families were slaughtered
None they spared. The old, the young too they took
Ripped their throats open, bathed in their blood
Severed their limbs, and fed them to dogs
I was here to witness the massacre
I felt the burden letting me go
As I reached the shore of my homeland
My old heart was gone, and a new one was shaping
Filled within me, the heart of the paragon

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
Finnish Melodic Death Metal. If you like Insomnium or Dark Tranquility or Be'lakor then this is should be perfect for you. The riffs & the melodies are very inventive & simply stunning & beautiful! This has been on repeat for the entire morning... :) It took me a while to recognise the last song... :) Hello Rush! What a great & totally unexpected cover! No faves & highly recommended!!! bmurator
