Homecoming 02:32
"The waves rocked my old ship slowly as my journey was nearing its end The sea was calm, but I could sense a darkness rising from the depths As I saw land in the horizon, a heavy burden was lifted off my shoulders I was finally back home, after so many years Little did I know that everything I had known had changed Little did I know that my journey was just about to begin"

The Paragon 08:37
Dark oceans of sorrow The sea captured my heart I felt the burden letting me go As I reached the shore of my homeland Familiar coastline, the jagged rocks Untouched by time, but stained by sword Dark oceans of sorrow I felt the warmth fade away My heart was lost to the sea And my love was lost to war I was here to witness the massacre Whole village was burning, families were slaughtered None they spared. The old, the young too they took Ripped their throats open, bathed in their blood Severed their limbs, and fed them to dogs I was here to witness the massacre I felt the burden letting me go As I reached the shore of my homeland My old heart was gone, and a new one was shaping Filled within me, the heart of the paragon
3.
In this dark, cold room, where the light cannot reach This place, where the spirits haunt my dreams In this dark, twisted chamber, way towards insanity This place, where I can hear her cries The ghost of dawn, laughing at my existence For the lost and damned, these chains are here to stay In this dark, cold room, where the light cannot reach This place, where the shadows haunt my wake In this dark, twisted chamber, way towards insanity This place, where I can feel her pulse The ghost of dawn, laughing at my existence For the lost and damned, these chains are here to stay They open her cage, and take her away They drag her across the bloody halls I can hear her screams, and the beating of her heart I can feel her pain, and the breaking of her bones The ghost of dawn, laughing at my existence For the lost and damned, these chains will fade away
4.
I saw the great bird rise from the spectral ashes I followed the trail of its wings, changing the course of my fate Opening the doors towards my freedom, shattering this confinement that binds me so I left the broken shell of her soul behind me Her heart knows no peace until I have avenged her And the bird flew away, away from my side Its ghost-like wings like a beacon in the dark Come back! And guide me through this maze of thought! And so the bird flew away My eyes burn with the hatred that was forced upon me I will not rest until all of them are dead And the bird flew away, away from my side Its ghost-like wings like a beacon in the dark Come back! And guide me through this maze of thought! And so the bird flew away "I see the path laid before me, paved with burning feathers" I walked these mourning waters, wading through their cleansing tears These layers of filth upon my wretched soul, washed away Crystalline lights beckoning from the fathomless deeps The great spirits of these waters will sing for me tonight
5.
The symphony of broken bones Lingering in my ears Their desolate song Under my tired feet Traveling across these mountains Once mighty and strong As unwavering as my faith Both now shattered and weak And bitter, I yearn for pain! As mountains fall before me, before my very eyes Breaking through barriers that once held me down These walls are crumbling between the world and me And for the first time I can see As I reached the summit And looked down to the valley below Witnessed the purification The one I had forever longed for God, I am ready I'll carry out your will! As mountains fall before me, before my very eyes Breaking through barriers that once held me down These walls are crumbling between the world and me And for the first time I can see My feet carried me towards the raging flames Burning bodies piled up, impaled and desecrated My hand clenched around the hilt of my sword I felt my blood boiling, and my hatred growing My blood was driving me onwards to war! And my blade cut them down where they stood I saw the massive swarm of winged beasts One by one, all men were ripped apart I knew this was the end, the end to everything As I saw the seven beastly heads rise from the sea In the presence of this great evil, my body froze in fear It was as if my body was torn apart by its piercing eyes The beast stopped and watched my petrified figure Turned around and left me standing alone, on this pile of corpses All of us are dead
6.
"My enemies are vanquished, yet my heart knows no peace My hands are stained with the blood of hundreds and they will not leave me be Their ghosts laugh at me in the hours before dawn and in my restless dreams I see the beast Watching me with its eyes like black jewels, weighing my soul I cannot find the answers here It is time to go home"
7.
As I trailed along the road towards my long forgotten home, I could not ease my troubled mind The spirits of dawn followed my weary steps, as a burden on my shoulders There is no excuse, there is nothing that justifies the crimes I've committed I will carry this burden forever in my travels through the endless void Over these lifeless hills, past the ruined cities Their once mighty walls now crumbled The sky is torn apart, and poison rain comes down Corroding my wretched skin away I force myself onwards, against the howling wind The wind that pierces through my flesh As my steps come to a halt, and my broken body falls My soul is crushed under the weight of the world I can only wish that the light is shown to me The light that guides me back to my true home I never wanted to suffer and I never wanted this pain But I know that there is none I can blame
8.
Silent forests, once my beloved homeland The dead trees and the dried lakes sing their songs no more Silent streets, no cheering crowd to greet my arrival And only ashes where once stood my home Curse you ghosts of dawn, why do you haunt me so You don't belong with the living I am alive! My body broken and my mind shattered But I'm still alive The distant stars look down upon me The remnants of my soul laid bare under their glare I'm the last of my line, the last of mankind Just a bitter old man, yearning for peace "Why was I the one to survive? I was no different from them, no different in the end As years passed me by, I watched the world grow old with me" Silent shore, covered in poisonous mist The dense fog like a suffocating shroud over this land Silent waters, dead bodies washed ashore And wrecked ships as far as the eye can see Curse you ghosts of dawn, why do you haunt me so You don't belong with the living I am alive! My body broken and my mind shattered But I'm still alive The great bird flew back to my side Rested its tired wings on my heavy shoulders Wounded, suffering, entwined with my pain The bird cried with me, and turned into ash As the storm gathers and approaches me I close my fist around the ashes of my hope I watch the oceans rise and swallow the world The end has finally come and the world will drown "As I sit here by the ocean, I welcome the waves that will cleanse this world My heart will soon find peace as my body is embraced by the sea Long have I waited, long have I fought this neverending battle All will be over at last"
